Description
Death, and entropy. In theory and in common belief within the contemporary cultural of decentralized networks in regards to the NFT, the artwork which makes up the profile picture (PfP) is immutable and everlasting in its archival form of ultimate reproducibility. Artists throughout history have confronted the ideas of time, death and entropy in their works which have also been reflective of the mediums in which the work exists (Painting, Sculpture, etc.). This movement to art in the age of digital reproducibility in theory expands the life of the image in it's "Mint" condition, as the artists' intended state of being. In this example of "Cuddle Bone" we are confronted with an anthropomorphic skull which will dispel the natural entropic forces through its reproducibility, and by enabling it as a PfP it plays with these idea of death ... that this image will out last every person to whomever uses it throughout the rest of human history.
